Starving Student Card

We’re participating in the Starving Student Card fundraiser this year. This is a great way for your boy to earn money for camp!

Cards are sold for $30 each. From each card sold, the Scout receives a $15 credit towards troop activities and the Council receives $7.50. This means that 75% of cost goes directly to Scouting!

Also for each 10 cards that the Scout sells, he’ll receive a free card, as well as and one entry into drawings for prizes. The grand prize is a trip for 4 to Disneyland.

If a boy sells 11 cards, (10 plus the free one), he could earn $180. That would almost pay for summer camp!

Starving Student Cards are very popular. When your boy approaches friends and family to sell the cards, he needs to make sure to ask them “to help me earn my way to camp.” He should get many people willing to help.

To sell them, a scout just needs to contact Kent Clinger and check out some of the cards, and then return the money and/or unsold cards to him by April 1st.

If anyone is interested please contact Kent Clinger at 801-358-9842, troop meetings, or Kent@theclingers.com.
