March 2022

This is a rough draft of the notes taken at Troop 1776’s committee meeting on March 17, 2022. They will be read in and approved at next month’s committee meeting.

Previous meeting’s notes

Eleven committee members were in attendance, as well two of the three key members. We read in the notes from last week’s meeting and amended them based on the recollections of the committee.

Finances

We reviewed the finances for the troop. The profits from last fall’s popcorn sales were divided amongst the Scouts according to sales. These funds were applied towards each Scout’s balance, which comprised of registration fees and Camp Loll registration ($278). If a Scout has a negative balance, the Scout is to pay the difference. Suzanne Cutler will send out the spreadsheet detailing each Scout’s balance.

The committee discussed how the deadline for half the cost of Camp Loll registration is due by May 1st. The remaining balance is due on May 21st. We need to start collecting fund before

Adult leaders need to pay for the cost of registration – $45.

Boy Scout Activities

The last campout was canceled due to Covid. It was rescheduled.

Court of Honor is March 31. Board of Review is March 24.

Scoutmaster Karl said that he has a shared folder with information on getting an Eagle, including an Eagle tracker.

The money that the troop raised for Scouting for Food, Tod will be responsible to give to Tabitha’s kitchen.

Scoutbook

Tod has issues accessing Scoutbook, as well as other members of the committee. The goal is to make sure everyone has access.

Girl Scout Activities

Scoutmaster Valeriia reported that 2 girls were working on a Star. 1 girl was working on 1st class.

During recharting, one girl was dropped accidentally. Scoutmaster Tareq will follow up with Kevin to track this issue.

Miscellaneous

Discussed the need for cleaning out the Scout shed and removing old equipment.

Next committee meeting will be held April 21st.
